MASSIVE SOLIDARITY ACTION FOR BC OLD GROWTH!
On Friday, June 11th, 2021 we are gathering at the legislature in Victoria and surrounding inner harbour for the LOUDEST rallying cry yet to condemn the injustice at Fairy Creek and across numerous other unsustainable foresting projects in BC.
June 11, 2026 NOON-2:00 pm
This is a movement with volunteers from First Nations, the Rainforest Flying Squad, Fairy Creek Blockaders, Elders for Trees, Forest March BC, joining hands with outraged citizens, members of First Nations, and other groups who, united, will be marching on the Legislature and are asking you to join us.
This is our response to Premier Horgan’s “NEW” approach to forestry and to this week’s disappointing press conference.
This is for the 86% of British Columbians who want to save old growth, biodiversity, primary forest systems, and the essential benefits they provide.
This is for all of us, and more importantly, for the future of our children. So, let’s all pitch in before the legislature adjourns!

There is no time to waste. The BC government must be pressed into taking more meaningful on forestry reform and the protection of old-growth ecosystems.
Our movement of citizens, front-line communities, and sustainable forestry advocates is growing, and for the third year in a row, we will be mobilizing across BC in a province-wide demonstration to pressure for immediate action on forestry reform and demand that communities have their voices heard throughout all government decision-making related to the future of public land.
A movement led by volunteers from Rainforest Flying Squad, Fairy Creek Blockaders; Elders for Trees, ForestMarchBC BC, Alarmed Citizens and numerous other groups are marching on the Legislature and are asking you to join us. This is a rallying cry for support, not only at the blockades, but also in all BC’s watersheds; this is our response to Premier Horgan’s “new” approach to forestry and his disappointing and divisive press conference. This rally is in support of the 86% of British Columbians who want to protect old growth for future generations and the millions of us who rely on intact watersheds. It is to emphasize that British Columbians want to save old growth, biodiversity, primary forest systems, and the essential benefits they provide. This is for ALL of us today and for the future, so let’s pitch in for this last stand before the government closes its doors for the summer recess, while the old growth continues to fall!
Recently the Victoria forest protection team of organizers has executed many rallies from 300-1000 participants. Last week over 2,000 attended the blockades and next Friday we hope to attract 10,000!
Please inform your membership via email or social media that this massive rally, accompanying press conference, display of music and presenters is in solidarity with the protestors at Fairy Creek, including First Nation youth, elders and the 151 arrested.
May we ask all of you individuals from the Forest March BC 2020 Victoria rally organizing team to connect with this #WorthMoreStanding group and assist in supplying members, speakers, signage, amenities, ideas and support.
Please stay tuned for the imminent official press release for the event.
